This avocado was brought to the US in 1916 from Antigua, Guatemala by USDA plant explorer Wilson Popenoe. It is considered one of the great avocados. The flesh is rich and buttery, a deep yellow in color, free of fiber or discoloration, and of the highest quality.
This variety has a “B” type flower, thick hard skin, and a proportionately smallish seed. The name Nimilioh is a Q’ueqchi’ word meaning “large avocado”, and it’s true. The fruits can become quite massive, attaining a weight of up to 3 pounds. The tree is also large and is a vigorous grower.
Sold out for 2024.
Trees are approximately 3 feet tall and sell for $45 each cash or check or Venmo, or $47 via credit card or PayPal. All trees are sold in a poly grow sleeve that is roughly equivalent to a #2 pot.
